Been a while!

Tue Jan 30, 2007, 2:19 AM
Oy! 2006 is over and it's been a while since i've done more than a pit stop here!

So much has changed!

I landed a new job, though I feel it's so much more! Last six months have been surreal. I'm now handling software architecture (usability/ergonomics) on ITV and Mobile platforms which rocks. Younger, I thought I'd be an architect son I guess this is kind of like coming home, shaping virtual spaces that inhabit our daily lives. I feel priviledged and primed! I'm writing this from Vancouver, hard at work, LVL Studio rocks big time!

I've moved twice in 3 months which was insane work but home is starting to feel like home, especially now that home means I'm going home to my girl Eve and baby Arielle. And that f*^#^@ rocks!

The comic is still coming together, though slower than expected but the results are mad good! I feel like I'm in the driver's seat and I'm finally making things happen.

I'll check with my bro LeMal (who is my partner in crime on this comic adventure) and might post some colored pages soon...

And Hi to muadhnait. Sorry I wasn't around. My deepest regrets for your grandparents. I know how it is to see your life's pillars fade away. I see you are even stronger now. You go and carve the world in your image!

Thanks to all of you who drop by and read the twice annual posts of this pseudo-artist ;)

Inking

Tue Feb 21, 2006, 9:23 PM
So I finished all the pencilling for the first issue of a Western comic! Thn I decided to start 6 pages over again!

But now I am done and down to inking, I've actually inked my first page this week-end, you can see it in my gallery!

Starting to put thought in a logo design for the covers and for color shemes/treatment!

This has been a great adventure so far! All the hard work and mistakes have gtten me to this point where I am actually going to finish creating a comic book!

Much thanks to my friend LeMal for coming up with a kick ass Western story and a cast of cool characers to design! (Without mentioning the occasional proding when the project was coasting to a standstill!).

5 pages and counting

Tue Sep 13, 2005, 4:15 PM
I down to 5 remianing pages to pencil.

Just got DC comics guide to Inking and their guide to coloring and lettering.

Good complete books.

Some of it is revision, but its good to go over stuff and have a fresh take on it, read throught the inking guide, and the information on materials techniques and aims will really give depth to my inking now...

I recommend both DC guides to anyone looking to polish their skills...

Comic book

Tue Aug 23, 2005, 8:38 PM
So, I've been working really hard on that western comic book now... and I'm up to 14 pages (penciled, but that's alot, penciling is the longest part!).

That means I'm only 10 pages away from starting to ink them!

I just haven't had the time or heart to scan any of them to pu on here, those 11x17 are so big, it takes around scans that I must then assemble under photoshop... I might just take picture with my digital cam and post those at some point!

At 3 pages penciled a week, I should be inking mid-september!
